A U.S. Congressman claims President Donald Trump’s name appears more than one million times in unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files. Democrat Jamie Raskin viewed the documents at the Department of Justice, searching for “Trump,” “Donald,” and “Don.” He noted the mentions do not automatically indicate wrongdoing.
In previously released redacted documents, Trump’s name appeared about 5,300 times. Raskin said the unredacted files show the former president is referenced far more than initially realized. However, he cautioned not all instances necessarily refer to Trump, as other individuals may share similar names.

Raskin also cited an email showing a conversation between lawyers for Trump and Epstein, contradicting Trump’s earlier claims that he had kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago in the mid-2000s. The document notes Epstein was a guest at the club and had never been asked to leave.
Other lawmakers reviewing the files, including Republican Thomas Massie and Democrat Ro Khanna, said one individual mentioned was a “pretty high up” foreign government official. The DOJ defended the redactions, emphasizing that victim names are protected and that the files are not hiding key information.

Trump has long denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein. Some documents show Trump calling the Palm Beach Police Department after Epstein’s arrest, saying “thank goodness” the authorities were intervening, and noting public awareness of Epstein’s activities. The revelations reignite scrutiny over Trump’s past associations with Epstein.
