
The National Forensic Agency, with approval from the Ministry of Interior, has announced new fees for various forensic services, including data extraction, analysis, and expert testimony in legal proceedings across Pakistan.
Under the notification, extracting data from locked or unlocked Android and iPhone devices will now cost Rs2,500 per case, while data retrieval from damaged mobile phones is set at Rs25 per case.
Forensic analysis of smartwatches and classic mobile phones will be charged Rs2,000, whereas SIM card data extraction will cost Rs1,000 per case, ensuring standardized charges for different digital devices.

Data recovery from videos, audio, and images has been set at Rs2,000 per case, while extracting information from hard disks or memory devices will cost Rs3,000, and RAID system recovery is Rs5,000.
A complete forensic report and analysis will now cost Rs10,000, with the same fee applicable for expert testimony in courts, providing transparency for institutions seeking professional forensic support.
The National Forensic Agency stated that all institutions and organizations must comply with the new fee structure, which aims to streamline digital forensic services and ensure proper resource management across cases.
