
Pakistan Super League sources have revealed player categories for the 11th season. Several leading stars retained top positions ahead of the draft. Meanwhile, notable promotions and demotions could influence team strategies.
Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, and Shadab Khan retained their Platinum status. Their inclusion keeps them among the league’s most valuable players. As a result, franchises are expected to build squads around them.

In addition, Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha earned promotion from Diamond to Platinum. Hassan Ali also moved up to the Platinum category after strong performances. These upgrades reflect recent form in domestic and international cricket.
However, Abbas Afridi shifted from Platinum to Diamond ahead of the new season. Osama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed were also moved down to Diamond. Officials said the changes aim to balance performance metrics and team needs.

Meanwhile, the Gold category welcomed Sahibzada Farhan, Azam Khan, and Khushdil Shah. Khawaja Nafi and Hassan Nawaz earned upgrades from Silver and Emerging categories. Overall, the updates highlight PSL’s focus on rewarding performance and developing talent.
