Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Azma Bokhari has said that despite threats, chaos, and conspiracies by PTI, Pakistan continues to move forward on the path of progress. She said each passing year is bringing improvement and positive developments, the economy is stabilizing, inflation is visibly declining, and improvements are evident across various sectors of public life.
She emphasized that PML-N has played a prominent and commendable role in economic stabilization, strong infrastructure development, and public welfare projects. Azma Bokhari said PTI’s politics has consistently revolved around unrest, violence, and vandalism, and even during its time in power, the party’s performance remained negligible. She added that PTI’s tenure offered nothing to the public except hollow slogans and unserious measures.
Referring to recent incidents in Karachi, she pointed out that during the KP Chief Minister’s visit, PTI workers resorted to stone-pelting at media personnel and damaged vehicles, clearly reflecting their disruptive mindset.
The Information Minister stated that comprehensive and independent investigations conducted by the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory have conclusively proven that the May 9 attack on Radio Pakistan Peshawar was a well-organized and premeditated operation, with the direct involvement of several PTI leaders. According to the forensic report, audio and video footage was analyzed frame by frame, and all evidence has been documented and submitted before the court.
She explained that these investigations were carried out under the directives of the Anti-Terrorism Court, which had ordered the police to submit a complete report in the Radio Pakistan attack case. Sixteen videos obtained from Peshawar were forensically examined, and no evidence of editing or tampering was found, confirming their authenticity.
The forensic report confirms that Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimur Jhagra, Irfan Saleem, and ISF’s Aamir Chamkani were directly involved in the attack on Radio Pakistan, arson, and the destruction of public property. Their identities were established by matching faces in the videos with their official and public profile photographs.
Azma Bokhari clarified that the May 9 incident was not an emotional reaction but a calculated conspiracy aimed at the State of Pakistan, national institutions, and public property. She categorically stated that the state cannot allow any political party or group to damage national institutions, public assets, or the country’s dignity.
She added that the case is currently under trial in a Peshawar court, and based on the evidence, strict legal action-including possible disqualification-is expected. PTI’s internal inquiry failed to clear the party of responsibility, while independent forensic evidence has completely rejected its claims.
Condemning attacks on media personnel in Karachi, Azma Bokhari said the Sindh government had provided space for the rally, but when workers failed to turn up, PTI resorted to allegations and false propaganda. She noted that the public is now fully aware of such tactics.
She stressed that the events of May 9 will never be forgotten and that all responsible individuals will be held accountable under the law. The state, she said, will not bow before false narratives, political theatrics, or chaos, and will ensure protection of citizens’ lives and property, respect for state institutions, and the supremacy of law at all costs.
Azma Bokhari recalled that the PTI founder himself had claimed he would apologize if vandalism was proven through forensic evidence, yet despite clear proof, no remorse or apology has surfaced to date. She highlighted that a highly credible forensic institution in Asia-established by Mian Shehbaz Sharif and now being modernized under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz-has confirmed the involvement of these elements.
Responding to questions, she said that footage of vandalism from Peshawar, Lahore, and other cities exists, and images and videos of the Corps Commander House have already gone public. Individuals initially blamed on agencies were later identified as PTI workers, many of whom remain in jail. Several people were seen on camera confessing to arson and property damage, while audio recordings of Murad Saeed are also available, in which he can be heard issuing direct instructions.
The Information Minister said that during PTI’s tenure, politically motivated cases were filed against Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, and Khawaja Asif, whereas PML-N has never practiced politics of revenge. The cases against PTI are based on their own actions and irrefutable forensic evidence.
She questioned why certain leaders fail to notice incidents of character assassination of respected personalities or the deteriorating condition of hospitals and educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She pointed out that 70 percent of schools in KP lack basic facilities, forcing children to study under harsh weather conditions.
Azma Bokhari reaffirmed that PML-N believes in positive competition, dialogue, and cooperation, and will continue taking all possible measures for public welfare.
In conclusion, she said Pakistan is steadily moving toward development, and PML-N will persist in its struggle for public welfare, national security, and strong infrastructure. Elements spreading chaos will face defeat on every front, and the public interest will remain paramount under all circumstances.
