According to the report, a total of 12 animals, including Mouflon sheep, a bear, and a lion, died in 2020. In 2021, a total of 13 animals, including a tiger, a white tigress, and an African lion, lost their lives. In 2022, 12 animals, including an African tigress, a hippopotamus, a deer, and a bear, died. In 2023 and 2024, 21 animals, including a leopard, an African tigress, and monkeys, were killed.
By August 2025, 12 other valuable animals, including the ibex, a rare species of deer, had died. Most animal deaths were due to infections and respiratory diseases. Many valuable and rare animals died due to accidents, extreme heat, and weather.
Most deaths were due to various diseases, some accidental, while the causes of a few were unknown. In 2025, most of the deaths of newly imported animals were caused by weather vulnerability.
