
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Wednesday. He reviewed preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women. Pakistan will host the international conference in 2026.
The Foreign Office said the meeting focused on planning and coordination. Officials reviewed logistics, security, and thematic sessions for the event. Dar directed all ministries to ensure smooth and timely arrangements.

Moreover, Dar stressed close coordination with the OIC Secretariat. He said effective organisation will reflect Pakistan’s diplomatic capacity. He urged institutions to work with unity and clarity.

Meanwhile, Dar said hosting the conference shows Pakistan’s strong commitment. He highlighted efforts to promote women’s rights nationwide. He added that women’s roles must expand socially, economically, and politically.

The meeting included senior federal ministers and top officials. The foreign secretary and human rights officials also attended. Pakistan aims to host a meaningful and impactful global women’s forum.
