On the directives of Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, the Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing has intensified its operations against illegal constructions and unauthorized commercial buildings in LDA-controlled areas. LDA teams carried out enforcement actions in various localities, demolishing seven illegal structures and sealing 90 properties involved in violations. The operations were conducted in Johar Town, Defence Road, College Road, Raiwind Road, private housing schemes, Gujjarpura, New Muslim Town, and Shadman. Actions were also taken in New Garden Town, Gulberg, Multan Road, and Sabzazar. Due to illegal constructions, unauthorized commercial use, and non-payment of commercial fees, LDA teams took action in Johar Town, Defence Road, College Road, Raiwind Road, and private schemes, demolishing seven properties and sealing 21 properties. For unauthorized commercial use, 25 properties were sealed in Gujjarpura, New Muslim Town, and Shadman, while 21 properties were sealed in New Garden Town and Gulberg. During recovery operations, LDA teams sealed 23 properties on Multan Road and in Sabzazar. The sealed properties include schools, marriage halls, markets, bakeries, colleges, beauty salons, auto workshops, estate offices, electrical and hardware stores, clinics, pharmacies, restaurants, food points, grocery stores, shops, offices, and other commercial units.
