The United States signed an $8.6 billion contract with Boeing to supply Israel with advanced F-15IA fighter jets. Israel will initially receive 25 jets, with an option for 25 more. The deal aims to strengthen military and strategic ties between the two countries.
The agreement was announced after a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida. The contract covers design, installation of advanced systems, testing, production, and delivery under the Foreign Military Sales program. Pentagon officials said the deal reinforces Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.
The F-15IA jets will be assembled in St. Louis, Missouri, with completion expected by December 31, 2035. The aircraft feature advanced avionics and weapons systems. Analysts say the jets will enhance Israel’s strike, air superiority, and defense capabilities for the next decade.
The deal comes amid debates in the US over military aid to Israel, especially during its operations in Gaza. Both Trump and previous Biden administrations stressed the importance of maintaining Israel’s security. Analysts also note the agreement deepens technological cooperation between the two nations.

Observers say the program strengthens long-term military ties and ensures Israel’s preparedness for emerging threats.
