Can This Love Be Translated? follows the evolving relationship between Joo Ho-jin, a skilled multilingual interpreter, and Cha Mu-hee, a globally recognized celebrity. Their clashing personalities result in an awkward professional partnership that slowly develops into a deeper emotional connection.
The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into their dynamic, highlighting moments of comedic tension alongside hints of growing affection. It sets the tone for a story that blends romance, humor, and cultural misunderstandings.
Kim Seon-ho, known for his roles in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Start-Up, and When Life Gives You Tangerines, takes on the role of Ho-jin. Go Youn-jung, who has appeared in Sweet Home, Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, and Resident Playbook, stars as the charismatic Mu-hee.
Their on-screen pairing brings together two actors closely associated with some of the most high-profile Korean dramas of recent years. This casting has already generated significant anticipation among fans of the genre.
The supporting cast includes Japanese actor Fukushi Sota as Hiro, described as Japan’s “Romance Prince.” His character introduces additional layers of jealousy and miscommunication, shaped by cultural and language differences that complicate the central relationship.
