Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar attended an Open Katchery held in Tando Muhammad Khan, where citizens presented their issues directly to the Sindh Home Minister. A number of complaints were raised regarding law and order, land disputes, matters related to the education, health and Police departments. The Sindh Home Minister Zia-Ul-Hassan stated that, following the vision of Quaid-e-Awam and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the tradition of resolving public issues through open khachary has been further strengthened by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. In this regard, he has been entrusted with this important responsibility. He also made several key announcements on the occasion.

He announced the establishment of a Driving License (DL) Branch in Tando Muhammad Khan. Approval was granted for the establishment of Women Facilitation Centers, with directions to submit recommendations soon. The Home Minister expressed willingness to set up new police stations as per public need, adding, “If required, we will establish police stations immediately.” To improve police response, all police stations will soon be provided with new police mobiles. Responding to a question about recruitments, the Sindh Home Minister said that candidates on the waiting list will be appointed purely on merit and eligibility, and a new recruitment policy will soon be formulated. He directed that salaries of newly appointed teachers be released immediately and instructed the District Education Officer accordingly. Orders were also issued to resolve the city’s water supply issue without delay. The Home Minister expressed his commitment to resolving the problems of growers on a priority basis, stating, “We will sit together and find practical solutions.”

Orders were issued to immediately suspend the absent S.E. Education, while the EXEN Works was also suspended due to absence. Regarding complaints against the police, the Home Minister directed the SSP Tando Muhammad Khan to immediately replace non-performing SHOs and initiate suspension proceedings against incompetent ones. A Tapedar was also suspended on public complaint. The Home Minister further announced that he would discuss with the Sindh Chief Minister the matter of tax collection from two points at the TMK toll plaza. Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar directed the Commissioner Hyderabad to take necessary steps for the repair and renovation of the girls’ school in Tando Muhammad Khan. The Commissioner was also instructed to visit bullari Shah Karim College soon and submit a report on its repair work.

The Home Minister said that educational institutions are the foundation of the nation’s future, and their improvement is a top priority. Citizens appreciated the holding of the open court and thanked the Sindh Home Minister. He announced that the public outreach campaign would be made more effective and well-organized. The Open Katchery was attended by elected representatives and senior officials, including MPAs Syed Ijaz Shah and Khurram Karim Soomro, Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razzaq Dharejo, DC TMK Dharmoon Bhawani, Javed Nayab Laghari, Salal Shah Bukhari, Ameer Sultan Chandio, Shah Nawaz Shah Bukhari, Mir Ali Raza Talpur, Ghulam Mustafa Jatt, SSP TMK Haseeb Jawaid Soomar, heads of district departments, and various political and social personalities.

Earlier Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also paid a special visit to SSP Office Tando Muhammad Khan. Upon arrival, he was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of police. He visited the Martyrs’ Monument, laid a floral wreath, and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. After the completion of renovation and refurbishment works, the Sindh Home Minister inaugurated the Model Police Station Tando Muhammad Khan, the Martyrs’ Monument, and the state-of-the-art Command and Control Room.
