Rakhi Sawant prays for Pyari Maryam

Published on: December 8, 2025 1:13 AM

Bollywood personality Rakhi Sawant has shared an emotional moment from Makkah after learning of the death of Pakistani social media influencer Pyari Maryam while performing Umrah.

The news reached her inside the Grand Mosque, prompting her to record a short clip in which she offered prayers for the young creator. The video quickly circulated online, drawing strong reactions from followers in Pakistan, India and the wider digital community.

Pyari Maryam, a well-known Pakistani influencer, passed away in hospital shortly after giving birth to twins. According to her family, her blood pressure rose to a critical level following delivery and doctors were unable to save her due to excessive bleeding. The news shocked her followers, many of whom had watched her document her pregnancy journey with characteristic warmth and optimism.

Maryam’s online presence had grown steadily across multiple platforms. Her YouTube channel had around 198,000 subscribers, while her TikTok account had more than 2.3 million followers. On Instagram, she was followed by more than 133,000 users. Her content, usually centred on short vlogs, lip-sync videos and candid moments from daily life, earned her a reputation for gentle humour, soft-spoken charm and an upbeat personality that resonated with audiences.

Her sudden passing led to an outpouring of grief from fans, fellow creators and actors who described the loss as heartbreaking. Many noted that she had built a strong sense of community online, drawing viewers who admired her optimism and family-centred approach to content creation. Several users expressed disbelief that she had left behind two newborn children, a reality they described as deeply painful.

Rakhi Sawant said she was deeply moved upon hearing the news while inside the Kaaba. In her video, she prayed for Maryam’s soul and asked for her to be granted a high place in paradise. She also referred to Maryam as a devoted wife and a creator whose work had touched many. The clip prompted a wave of appreciation from users who praised Sawant for offering prayers in such a sacred setting.
