Sher Zadha, the university clerk, remains in critical condition with 60 to 65 per cent burn injuries. The explosion occurred due to a gas leak combined with a short circuit in a room, which also damaged an adjacent room. Authorities are investigating the cause of the leak and the extent of the damage.

The mother suffered burns over 60 per cent of her body, while her daughter sustained 25 per cent burn injuries.
Officials have urged residents to exercise caution with gas appliances, especially in poorly ventilated areas, and to ensure regular maintenance of gas cylinders and connections. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding safety standards in domestic and institutional settings.
