
RAHIM YAR KHAN – Two suspected drug pushers were killed during an alleged police encounter in Rahim Yar Khan on Monday night, authorities said. The operation, carried out by City Division and Kot Samba police, targeted traffickers based on secret intelligence.

When police reached the suspects’ hideout, the outlaws opened fire. In retaliation, police shot and killed Zeeshan alias Shahni and Usman alias Kaka, while other accomplices managed to escape. The bodies have been sent to the hospital for medicolegal procedures.
According to police, the deceased were history-sheeters involved in multiple heinous crimes. Weapons and a large quantity of drugs were recovered from the site, and raids continue to track down the remaining suspects. Authorities stressed that the operation was part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.
In a related incident in Phoolnagar, an alleged robber named Adeel was killed during an exchange of fire with police in Kot Radha Kishan. Reports suggest he was accidentally shot by his own accomplices during the confrontation. Adeel was wanted in 13 cases, including a recent murder of a man named Riaz during a robbery.
Police have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on organized crime and warned criminals that law enforcement agencies will take strict action against anyone involved in illegal activities. Residents in both areas praised the police efforts but called for continued vigilance to ensure community safety.
