Three notorious dacoits were gunned down during police encounters in Lahore and Narowal. The first police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of the Crime Control Department (CCD) Kotwali, in which one dacoit died at the firing of his accomplices.A Crime Control Department team placed a barricade in the limits of CCD Kotwali. The CCD team signaled that the three accused riding on a motorcycle should stop.The dacoits, after taking notice of the police party, started firing on them. During the exchange of fire, one dacoit was killed and another escaped from the scene. The dead dacoit was identified as Ali Raza. Police said that the dead dacoit was involved in attacking and injuring a police constable during a dacoity attempt. Later, the police shifted his body to the hospital mortuary for an autopsy. All the accomplices of the dacoit flee from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. The second police encounter occurred in Narowal, in which two police record-holding dacoits were gunned down. The dacoits were busy looting people after placing a barricade. Suddenly, a CCD team reached there. After taking notice, the dacoits started firing on the police team. During the exchange of fire, two dacoits received gunshots and died, and their two colleagues escaped from the scene.
