
LONDON – King Charles will give a rare insight into his Christmas plans during a special interview airing on December 23, the BBC has confirmed. The broadcast will highlight the monarch’s dedication to protecting the environment and his love for nature.

The interview, part of BBC Radio 4’s This Natural Life Christmas special, was recorded at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, the headquarters of The King’s Foundation. The estate, saved by Charles in 2007, recently celebrated the charity’s 35th anniversary.
Presenter Martha Kearney, who conducted the interview, shared her experience with the king, saying, “It was great to see The King so relaxed in a place which means so much to him and where he puts his philosophy of nature into practice.”

The program will offer listeners a glimpse of how King Charles’ environmental values are reflected in Dumfries House, which has become a thriving green space and educational campus. The estate now serves as a hub for conservation and sustainability initiatives under the stewardship of The King’s Foundation.
