
GUJRAT — The University of Gujrat (UoG) has achieved a landmark distinction by securing a place among the world’s top 300 universities in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Ranking. This marks UoG’s debut in the global ranking exercise, where 1,267 universities from across the world participated, and the university earned a global placement in the 251–300 band while also ranking 8th nationally in Pakistan, underscoring its growing reputation as a hub of interdisciplinary research and innovation.
THE assessed universities across three critical dimensions — input, process and output — covering research funding and industry collaboration, measures of success and institutional support and publications, usability, quality and reputation.
The University of Gujrat received impressive scores across all three pillars, with 23.1 in input, 33.5 in process, and 55.0 in output, resulting in an overall score range of 45.3 to 47.5. These results placed the UoG among the top 300 institutions worldwide, a milestone, highlighting both the strength of its research ecosystem and the dedication of its faculty and leadership.
