Los Angeles: ABC announced the cancellation of Thursday’s taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live, citing the host’s “personal matters.” The late-night show, normally filmed in the afternoon and aired that night, had been scheduled to feature David Duchovny, Joe Keery, and musical guest Madison Beer.
Madison Beer confirmed the rescheduling on social media, stating, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.” Neither ABC nor Kimmel offered further details regarding the reason behind the sudden cancellation.

A member of the show’s audience team also posted on Reddit, apologizing for the inconvenience and confirming that a repeat episode from October 28 would air in place of the scheduled program. The sudden change sparked speculation among fans, particularly in light of previous interruptions earlier this year.
In September, Jimmy Kimmel Live! faced a temporary suspension after Kimmel made controversial remarks about conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, drawing attention from the FCC and Disney. Since then, Kimmel has returned to the show and launched initiatives such as the “Big, Beautiful Food Bank” to support families impacted by government shutdowns and SNAP benefit reductions in Los Angeles.
