FIA Arrests NCCIA Officers Over Bribery Allegations

The FIA arrests NCCIA officers case has drawn public attention after six officials were detained for alleged bribery and misuse of power. The Federal Investigation Agency confirmed the arrests on Monday. According to their lawyer, Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, all six were accused of taking bribes and abusing their authority. He said they would be presented before a district court on Tuesday.

The arrested officials include Additional Director Chaudhry Sarfraz, In-charge Zawar, Sub-Inspector Ali Raza, Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz, Yasir Gujjar, and Mujtaba Kamran. Their lawyer said he would represent them in court. The case quickly spread across media, raising questions about corruption inside the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. Public discussions over the FIA arrests NCCIA officers incident have intensified online.

Chaudhry Sarfraz had already faced controversies before his arrest. Last month, he was transferred to NCCIA headquarters in Islamabad after multiple complaints. He was accused of targeting YouTubers like Ducky Bhai and Rajab Butt for alleged online gambling activities. Other cases involved disputes between journalists, lawyers, and police officers. His removal came after growing pressure from various groups within Lahore.

At the same time, the Islamabad High Court is hearing a related issue. The court recently gave police one more week to trace missing NCCIA Deputy Director Muhammad Usman. His wife, Rozina, claimed he was abducted by four armed men earlier this month. Later, she also went missing, deepening the mystery. The case has added tension to ongoing investigations involving NCCIA officials.

The FIA arrests NCCIA officers case exposes serious flaws in accountability and discipline within federal law enforcement. The arrests have sent a strong message against corruption inside cybercrime agencies. Observers say the government must now strengthen internal checks to rebuild public trust and ensure transparent investigations.
