
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Poland have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors and agreed to enhance intelligence sharing to counter terrorist threats, according to a joint statement issued following high-level talks in Islamabad.
The discussions were held between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who visited Pakistan from October 23 to 24, 2025. The visit marked a significant step toward enhancing diplomatic ties, promoting regional stability, and deepening economic cooperation between the two nations.

Both sides emphasized the importance of regular high-level engagements to expand political dialogue and explore new avenues of collaboration, especially in trade, investment, and economic development. They agreed to hold annual bilateral political consultations and to encourage stronger parliamentary and business-to-business (B2B) exchanges.
During the meeting, the Polish delegation provided insights into the ongoing war in Ukraine, while Pakistan highlighted the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Both ministers reaffirmed their condemnation of terrorism in all forms, stressing that no country should offer safe havens to groups involved in terrorism.

The two countries also committed to implementing UN resolutions related to counterterrorism and strengthening the exchange of information and best practices between their institutions to ensure regional and global peace.
