PTI plans massive Karachi rally to launch nationwide campaign

Published on: October 22, 2025 6:41 PM

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a “massive public rally” in Karachi this November to begin a nationwide public engagement campaign. The decision was made during PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja’s recent visit to Karachi. He met with key party leaders, including Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh and Parliamentary Leader Shabbir Qureshi, to discuss political strategy and organizational matters.

After the meetings, Raja confirmed the Karachi rally would kick off a series of events in Hyderabad and other major cities. The campaign aims to mobilize public support for party founder Imran Khan’s release. Raja emphasized that PTI remains united and committed to restoring justice. He also highlighted recent appointments signaling a political renewal within the party.

Raja criticized the ruling PPP for mismanagement in Sindh, claiming they turned the province into “ruins” over the last 17 years. He described widespread corruption, lawlessness, and insecurity across Sindh, stressing the urgent need for change. Raja said he witnessed overwhelming support for Imran Khan during his visits across Sindh’s cities.

Imran Khan has been imprisoned since August 2023 in a high-profile corruption case and faces additional trials related to May 9 protests. PTI has repeatedly raised concerns over limited access to Imran in jail and alleged moves to isolate him from family and lawyers. Recently, the party claimed Imran offered to mediate Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions if granted parole.

The Karachi rally marks PTI’s push to engage citizens against injustice and oppression. Raja reiterated Imran’s message urging people to keep faith and trust that truth and justice will prevail. The campaign aims to energize supporters nationwide for a united call for Imran Khan’s release and political reform.
