
LAKKI MARWAT – Security forces killed eight suspected militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Sultankhel area near Mianwali on Friday.
Officials said the operation targeted a terrorist hideout in a forest between Kaichi Kamar and Sultankhel. The militants were killed, and a large amount of weapons and explosives was recovered.

In a separate incident, a commander of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Tariq Kochi, was reportedly killed by unidentified gunmen near the border of South Waziristan and Balochistan. Kochi was wanted for several attacks on police and security forces.
Meanwhile, security forces in Bajaur foiled a major terror plan by disabling an explosive-laden vehicle in the Thangai area. Police said the car was destroyed before it could cause harm, and no casualties were reported.
Authorities have launched investigations into both incidents.
