Lakki Marwat operation: 8 Terrorists dead, weapons captured

Security forces launched a major operation in Sultan Khel, Lakki Marwat, on October 16. Acting on intelligence, they targeted militants linked to the Afghan Taliban. The Pakistan Army led the mission, focusing on a group operating in the area. They conducted both aerial and ground surveillance to track militant movements. This helped forces strike precisely and swiftly.

During the operation, troops killed eight militants. They also seized a significant amount of weapons and explosives. Security sources said the militants were part of the Afghan Taliban’s proxy network. The forces aimed to disrupt these groups and prevent future attacks. This operation marks another success in ongoing counterterrorism efforts.

Security officials revealed that in the last four days, they killed 102 militants sent by the Afghan Taliban. These operations show the government’s resolve to stop terrorist activities along the border. They are also meant to strengthen security in volatile areas. Moreover, the authorities increased surveillance in Sultan Khel and Toofan Wala to prevent militant regrouping. The continuous monitoring helped detect suspicious activities early. This rapid response prevented militants from escaping or launching attacks. The operation also reassured local communities about their safety.
