The leaders expressed satisfaction with the ongoing defence collaboration under the Joint Committee on Defence Cooperation (JCDC), established in 1997.

Cooperation has been strengthened through high-level visits, ministerial and military meetings, military-to-military engagements, and defence industry linkages. Both sides committed to further deepen cooperation, particularly in defence science, technology, and industry, through knowledge and technology transfer.

Cybersecurity and Counterterrorism:
Both nations also pledged to enhance collaboration in cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, combatting organized crime, and terrorism financing, including increased information sharing and technical cooperation to address emerging threats.

Connectivity and Aviation

Recognising aviation’s role in boosting connectivity, Pakistan and Malaysia agreed to expand air traffic rights, enabling more direct flights to enhance business, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Support for Gaza and Palestine

Both leaders strongly condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza and reiterated unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state based on pre-June 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

They called for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire, the end of the Gaza blockade, protection of civilians, and unimpeded humanitarian aid delivery. Both sides stressed the need for a just and lasting solution to achieve peace and stability in the region, welcoming ongoing international efforts toward Palestinian statehood.
