THARPARKAR: Eight goats were killed and dozens injured after Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) allegedly opened fire on livestock in the border village of Sanorani, Tharparkar, local sources confirmed on Saturday.
According to eyewitness accounts, BSF personnel not only shot at the animals but also attacked them with iron rods, leaving several goats with broken legs and spinal injuries. The attack sparked outrage among villagers, who described the incident as “cruel and unprovoked.”Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the assault in the strongest terms, calling it a “heinous act of barbarity” and “an affront to humanity.”

He said that such actions by Indian forces represent a blatant violation of peace principles and international law, undermining the spirit of cross-border civility. Following the Chief Minister’s directives, the Sindh Livestock Department dispatched a team of veterinarians to Sanorani village to treat the wounded animals. According to the CM’s spokesperson, the team remains stationed in the area to provide ongoing medical support and compensation assessment for affected livestock owners.
