Pakistani pilgrims return home after successful Hajj completion

Published on: June 7, 2026 4:22 PM

More than 34,000 Pakistani pilgrims have returned home after completing the Hajj pilgrimage, as post-Hajj flight operations continue smoothly across Saudi Arabia. Authorities confirmed that the repatriation process is ongoing and will continue in phases until the end of June.

Meanwhile, around 84,791 Pakistani pilgrims are still in Saudi Arabia, where they remain under post-Hajj arrangements before their scheduled return flights. Officials said the process is being carefully managed to ensure smooth travel and avoid congestion at airports.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has arranged special facilities to assist returning pilgrims, including luggage check-in services directly from accommodation sites. These measures aim to reduce waiting times and ensure a more organized departure experience for pilgrims.

Pilgrims have also been advised to follow scheduled baggage timelines, with luggage processing completed 24 to 48 hours before departure flights. Authorities emphasized that these steps help streamline airport operations and improve overall travel efficiency during the large-scale repatriation process.

In addition, more than 15,000 Pakistani pilgrims have visited Riyaz-ul-Jannah during post-Hajj arrangements in Madinah, reflecting continued religious engagement even after completing core Hajj rituals. Support staff members, including 250 officials, have already returned after completing their responsibilities.

Overall, officials stated that coordinated efforts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are ensuring safe and orderly return operations. The phased flight schedule is expected to maintain smooth flow until all remaining pilgrims return home by the end of June.
