
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed her government’s unwavering commitment to merit-based appointments, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption, while stressing that every policy must serve the people directly. She highlighted that e-tendering systems are ensuring accountability in public projects, making sure every rupee spent delivers value and benefit for citizens, leaving no room for favoritism or misuse of resources.
During her interaction with the National Security and War Course participants, Maryam Nawaz said the Punjab government has eradicated political interference in appointments, ensuring fair opportunities across all departments. She emphasized that good governance cannot exist without honesty, responsibility, and service to the people, adding that her government prioritizes integrity as the foundation of decision-making at every level.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister extended her congratulations to the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force for their successful Operation Bunyanun Marṣoos, praising the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir for strengthening national security. She pointed out that such achievements directly contribute to stability and help provinces like Punjab pursue growth in governance, law enforcement, and welfare initiatives more effectively than before.
Maryam Nawaz also highlighted several initiatives that demonstrated the government’s performance in recent months, including the largest flood evacuation operation in Punjab’s history, aided by the use of advanced thermal imaging drones. She explained that the province also took bold steps to combat smog by importing 15 smog guns, while also expanding access to healthcare with modern ablation machines for cancer patients.
In addition, she shared the government’s progress in agriculture, particularly through the mechanization of farming, which has increased productivity and efficiency for farmers across Punjab. According to her, these reforms reflect a long-term vision to strengthen food security, promote sustainability, and uplift rural communities through innovation and access to better technology.
The delegation, which included officers from Pakistan’s armed forces and 47 participants representing 26 countries such as Australia, the UK, China, the US, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, praised Punjab’s welfare-oriented projects. They acknowledged the reforms under Maryam Nawaz as encouraging steps that not only empower people but also reflect a model of governance that prioritizes merit, accountability, and inclusive development.
