The government of Balochistan has taken a landmark step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Harley Healthcare Group to promote quality medical education in the province. The agreement ensures the establishment of the first-ever medical, dental, and nursing college under a public-private partnership, marking a milestone in the region’s healthcare and education development.
According to the agreement, the college will admit around 100 students each year across medical, dental, nursing, and allied sciences programs. Additionally, 16 outstanding students will be awarded scholarships annually, ensuring that deserving candidates from underprivileged backgrounds have equal access to international-standard education.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed optimism about the initiative, highlighting that the project would prepare skilled doctors and nurses to serve the healthcare needs of the province. He stated that students will no longer need to travel outside the province to pursue higher-quality medical education, as opportunities will now be available locally.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the project would particularly benefit students from remote and far-flung areas of Balochistan, who often face difficulties accessing advanced education. By bringing such facilities closer to home, the provincial government hopes to strengthen the healthcare sector and ensure that skilled professionals are trained within the province itself.
Moreover, the CM underscored that reforms in both education and healthcare remain a top priority for his administration. He added that the new college is not only a step toward academic growth but also a move to strengthen the overall healthcare delivery system in the province.
