
Pakistan Beach Handball team made history by winning the first Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship 2025. They defeated Sri Lanka in the final to claim the crown. The victory marked Pakistan’s unbeaten run in the tournament and a proud moment for the country.
The final took place in Kulhudhuffushi City where Pakistan outclassed Sri Lanka with scores of 26–18 and 28–12. The green shirts showed strong attacking skills and solid defense. Their flawless performance secured them the championship without losing a single game.
Earlier, Pakistan started the event by beating rivals India 2–0 in their opening match. They continued their winning streak against Maldives, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Bangladesh. In the semifinal, Pakistan again overpowered Bangladesh with ease to enter the final confidently.
Muhammad Shahid Bashir emerged as the hero of the final. He scored crucial points and was named Player of the Match. His standout display helped Pakistan lift their first-ever international beach handball crown. The host nation Maldives secured bronze by defeating Bangladesh.
