Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, has launched his career as a director. His first web series, “The Bastards of Bollywood,” has been released on Netflix. The streaming platform had announced last year that Aryan would create content for them, and now his debut is live.
The series follows a young man named Asmaan Singh, who tries to succeed in the Bollywood industry. It explores themes like glitz, rivalry, family secrets, love, and nepotism within the film world. The story highlights the drama and power struggles behind the scenes.
In the first season, Asmaan works with a famous actress, Karishma Talwar, while facing romance, betrayal, and industry challenges. Aryan Khan directed the series, which is produced by his mother, Gauri Khan, under Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.
The cast includes well-known actors like Bobby Deol, Lakshya Lalwani, Sahar Bamba, Raghu Joyel, Rajat Bedi, Anaya Singh, and Manish Chowdhary. Bollywood personalities like Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan also make brief appearances. The series even features an item song by Tamanna Bhatia.
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut is expected to open doors for more web series and films on Netflix. Meanwhile, his sister Suhana Khan has already started her acting career, showing the family’s growing presence in Bollywood.
