Citizens no longer need to visit Excise Offices for physical inspection of their vehicles at the time of vehicle transfer or at the time of registration. Citizens will upload photos at the time of vehicle registration and transfer.
Additional DG Rizwan Sherwani informed that car owners only upload vehicle front-back and chassis pictures in the E&T system. After uploading the photos, the owner will go to the inspector and ETO for approval. Earlier, hundreds of vehicles used to come to the excise offices for physical inspection every day.
Moreover, all registration numbers can now be purchased in advance.
Previously, registration numbers which were not purchased through the e-Auction could be bought at the base price as a leftover, but now, a registration number can be purchased by anyone by creating an advanced PSID.
According to details, after the shift of the ETO old system to a new one, from September 1, some flaws appeared, which the IT department is now going to rectify early.
