Security forces have killed 31 terrorists in two major operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations took place in Lakki Marwat and Bannu on September 13 and 14. According to the ISPR, these terrorists were linked to Indian proxy networks. Forces carried out the missions based on confirmed intelligence. The swift action reflects growing efforts to eliminate terrorism from the region.
In Lakki Marwat, forces launched an intelligence-based operation against terrorist hideouts. A fierce gun battle broke out between the troops and militants. As a result, 14 terrorists were killed on the spot. Their weapons and equipment were also seized. The area was later cleared and secured by the troops.
Meanwhile, a second operation took place in Bannu. Security forces again encountered heavy resistance from the terrorists. Despite the intense exchange of fire, 17 militants were killed. The operation was precise and well-coordinated. Forces managed to destroy the militants’ base effectively.
ISPR stated that both groups were part of a larger network. This network is reportedly backed by Indian handlers. The military believes these terrorists were planning future attacks in Pakistan. Their elimination has weakened the group’s operational capacity. Further investigations are underway to trace remaining members.
The army confirmed that clearance operations will continue in the area. Forces aim to remove all traces of foreign-backed terrorism. ISPR assured that no terrorist will be spared. The military remains committed to securing Pakistan’s borders. These actions are part of a larger counter-terrorism strategy.
