Mehwish Hayat bids emotional farewell to Dayan

Published on: September 11, 2025 10:20 PM

Mehwish Hayat expressed deep emotions as her recent drama, Dayan, concluded, saying her heart “is overflowing” with memories from the project. She shared her sentiments on Instagram alongside a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos and videos with co-actors and crew members.

Reflecting on her journey, Hayat described portraying the complex character of Nihaal/Misha as one of the most challenging experiences of her career. She revealed that intense scenes sometimes caused sleepless nights and loss of appetite due to their emotional depth.

Despite the challenges, she also highlighted the joy she experienced during shooting. Hayat said playing Nihaal’s transformation into Misha, and a mother’s unstoppable love and fight for her child, was cathartic and inspiring. She added that exploring the many layers of a woman’s heart, vulnerability, and strength will remain a lifelong experience.

Hayat also extended gratitude to the producers, Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, for providing her a role that pushed her creative boundaries. She thanked 7th Sky for supporting her return to television after a seven-year break, calling the experience memorable and rewarding.

The drama revolves around Nihaal, who seeks revenge on those who wronged her. It also features Ahsan Khan as Zawar Shah, Hira Mani as Shabab, Usman Peerzada as Dr. Naved, Zainab Qayyum as Fauzia, Nayyer Ejaz as Shakeel, Sohail Sameer as Amir, and Osama Tahir as Hunain Shah.

Overall, Mehwish Hayat’s farewell post highlighted the emotional and professional journey behind Dayan. Her appreciation for the team and the drama’s storytelling resonated with fans, leaving a lasting impression as the project came to an end.
