Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made significant progress during his visit to Beijing. Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Chinese companies signed 10 important agreements. These deals focus on emerging technologies and digital growth. Officials hope to increase Pakistan’s B2B export market by ten times. The agreements aim to boost technology skills and infrastructure across the country.

One key deal was signed with China’s Ministry of Industry and IT to collaborate on new technologies. Alibaba agreed to provide e-commerce training programs for Pakistani youth. This training will help young people gain valuable skills for the digital economy. Meanwhile, Huawei and Pakistan created a strategic plan to improve connectivity nationwide. This plan will enhance internet access and speed across Pakistan.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima, shared details about Pakistan’s new projects. The country will soon launch its first full-stack AI cloud platform. Also, ZTE will train 100,000 Pakistani youth in technology skills. A global ICT training center will open in Islamabad. These steps will strengthen Pakistan’s digital workforce and innovation capacity.

Moreover, Alibaba will supply Pakistan with an open-source language model for AI development. AI-powered healthcare diagnostic tools will also arrive in the country soon. Additionally, agreements include AI-based educational tools for Islamabad’s schools. The government plans to improve internet infrastructure by building a national fiber backhaul network. It also signed deals to develop submarine cable infrastructure to support faster connectivity.

These new partnerships between Pakistan and China mark a major step forward for technology. They will create jobs and improve digital skills for thousands of Pakistanis. The deals will also help modernize Pakistan’s IT sector and global trade. Officials say these efforts will boost the country’s economy and future growth. Overall, the agreements show strong cooperation and shared goals between the two nations.
