Famous singer Quratulain Balouch was injured in a bear attack while camping at Deosai National Park in Gilgit-Baltistan, where she had gone for a music video shoot.
The Who Humsafar Tha singer was attacked by a brown bear during her stay at the campsite. She suffered injuries on both arms before being shifted to a hospital in Skardu.
Doctors confirmed that her condition is out of danger, and she is receiving proper medical treatment. However, the incident has raised serious concerns about tourist safety in the region.
Balouch had reportedly been visiting Deosai to film a music video for one of her upcoming songs. The sudden encounter with the wild animal disrupted the project and shocked her team.
Following the attack, the Gilgit-Baltistan government imposed a ban on camping inside Deosai National Park. Authorities emphasized that visitors must camp only near hotels or safe designated areas.
Officials also advised tourists to strictly follow safety protocols and avoid isolated camping spots. The move aims to prevent similar incidents and ensure that visitors can enjoy Deosai without risking their lives.
