China reaffirms strong support for Pakistan’s security

Published on: July 25, 2025 1:22 PM

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has once again confirmed his country’s full support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism. He also praised Pakistan’s military for protecting Chinese workers, projects, and institutions across the country. The statement came during a high-level meeting in Beijing with Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.

Wang Yi congratulated General Munir on his promotion and called the Pakistan Army a strong defender of national sovereignty. He also described Pakistan as a key diplomatic priority for China and emphasized the importance of their long-standing friendship. Wang said the two countries will continue to work together for peace, security, and regional development.

Calling China and Pakistan “ironclad friends,” Wang Yi stressed the importance of deepening strategic cooperation. He pledged China’s commitment to implementing shared goals set by the leadership of both nations. According to him, both countries must continue supporting each other on all international platforms and strengthen ties through trust and mutual interest.

General Munir expressed deep gratitude for China’s consistent support of Pakistan’s economic and defense efforts. He assured Chinese leadership that Pakistan’s military will continue to protect Chinese citizens and investments. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to working closely with China on counter-terrorism and regional peace initiatives.

The meeting also included a detailed exchange of views on key regional and global matters. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication and cooperation on all issues of mutual concern. The talks highlighted the growing strength of the China-Pakistan strategic partnership.

This visit further strengthens the long-standing alliance between the two countries, especially in light of rising regional challenges. Officials from both nations vowed to work hand-in-hand to build a safer and more prosperous region.
