President calls for closer China-Pakistan links

President Asif Ali Zardari met with China’s Ambassador Jiang Zaidong at Aiwan-e-Sadr today. During the meeting, Zardari stressed the importance of Pakistan’s relationship with China. He said both countries must work together to promote peace, security, and prosperity in the region. The president expressed his strong desire to expand cooperation in many important areas.

Zardari highlighted trade, economy, culture, and regional connectivity as key fields for collaboration. He believes Pakistan and China share vast potential to grow their partnership. He pointed out that stronger ties will benefit both countries and improve regional stability. Zardari also said Pakistan values China’s support in difficult times. The people of Pakistan remain thankful for China’s consistent help.

Furthermore, the president appreciated China’s role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development. He thanked the Chinese leadership and people for their ongoing support. Zardari described China as Pakistan’s “iron-clad brother,” emphasizing deep mutual trust. He urged both nations to keep building on this strong foundation. The meeting showed Pakistan’s commitment to nurturing a long-term friendship with China.

Ambassador Jiang Zaidong expressed China’s readiness to deepen ties with Pakistan. He assured continued cooperation on bilateral projects and regional initiatives. The two leaders agreed to maintain open communication for future collaboration. They also discussed ways to enhance economic growth and cultural exchange. This meeting marks a new step in the growing Pakistan-China partnership.

President Zardari’s call for closer ties reflects Pakistan’s strategic focus on China. The emphasis on peace, security, and shared progress aims to benefit the whole region.
