Renowned director Nadeem Baig recently opened up about why Bilal Abbas Khan was initially hesitant to star in the upcoming drama ‘Meri Zindagi Hai Tu.’ Following the massive success of Bilal’s previous hit drama ‘Ishq Murshid,’ the actor became more cautious in selecting his next project, worried about repeating himself or disappointing his fans.
Nadeem Baig shared these insights during a conversation on Hasan Chaudhry’s talk show, where he also reflected on his passion for filmmaking since his school days. Though he began his career in television dramas due to the industry’s dominance in Pakistan, he has always been drawn to making films and enjoys the creative freedom they offer.
He further discussed his recent drama ‘Main Manto Nahin Hoon,’ which explores themes of ego, hatred, and pride. The story shows how a person’s stubbornness can ruin their own and others’ lives. Nadeem emphasized that the drama presents the character of Manto in a fresh light, breaking traditional stereotypes and portraying a man who can be both strong and compassionate.
Regarding ‘Meri Zindagi Hai Tu,’ Nadeem revealed that he convinced Bilal Abbas by assuring him the role was very different from his past characters. The drama, starring Bilal Abbas and Hania Aamir, promises a rich mix of bitter, sweet, and romantic moments. It explores complex relationships and emotional struggles, offering audiences something new and heartfelt.
