ISLAMABAD — Pakistan People’s Party leader and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for representing Pakistan positively on the global stage during challenging times. She spoke during a National Assembly session, highlighting his efforts in showcasing the country’s image internationally.
Aseefa began her speech by paying tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces for their dedication in protecting the homeland. She expressed confidence that if the country faces another crisis, every woman, child, and youth will stand united in support of Pakistan.
She stressed the urgent need to increase funding for education, calling it a top national priority. “It is shameful that in 2025, many people still suffer from electricity shortages,” she said, pointing out that some areas experience up to 15 hours of load shedding.
Aseefa highlighted how the power cuts particularly affect the poor and working classes, making their daily lives even more difficult. She urged the government to address these issues quickly to improve living conditions for vulnerable communities.
Furthermore, she reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to public service and promised that the party will continue to advocate for the rights of underprivileged and marginalized groups in Pakistan.
In conclusion, Aseefa called on all political leaders to work together for the country’s progress and to ensure that every citizen has access to basic necessities like education and electricity.
