Pakistani soaps

Published on: September 16, 2015 7:00 PM

Sir: Over a decade ago in Pakistan, TV screens were ruled by Indian dramas, although the content of Indian soaps lacks quality and has predictable scripts. The success of soaps is determined on how long they can run and how much they are capable of wooing the audience.

The scenario has changed now. Both Indian and Pakistani audiences have become the fans of Pakistani dramas due to their meaningful scripts that highlight different social issues in a short span of time. Pakistani dramas are acclaimed all over the world due to their scripts and plots. For the Indian audience, Zindagi channel has given an option by airing Pakistani dramas instead of Indian soaps, which are long and revolve around the rivalry between mother and daughter-in-law. Indian viewers have become admirers of Pakistani dramas. Even famous Indian celebrities such as Kajol, Esha Deol and Kiran Kher are all praise for Pakistani dramas. The recent update elucidates that Star Network, which is famous for its soaps, is now ready to air Mera Naam Yousuf, a Pakistani drama. Our culture and traditions are conquering the hearts of the Indian public. A victory of hearts and souls is more convincing than a victory that is won by the use of weapons, and that is what our Pakistani dramas are doing in India.
