Embrace the Change

Published on: February 1, 2016 11:33 PM

We all have few fears that prevent us from achieving our dreams. We have demons in our lives that we confront every day. Sometimes they dominate our will power. Sometimes we overcome our fears by defeating our demons. But a moment comes when we feel stuck in a rut. Time might have passed by while you were on autopilot. You may have even questioned when life would really begin. When these darkest periods will end?

In contrast to this feeling, an enlivened life is the one that we are excited about living. When we are excited about life, we have something to look forward, and we enjoy our life experiences. If we make a few changes to our life, we start assuming that everything will get better. In the beginning, change can be a bit daunting or uncertain.

It can feel awkward and unnatural at first, though it is completely normal and it usually takes a month before a new behavior becomes habit. When the results aren’t immediate we question whether our efforts are working or not, and it can be tempting to slide back into old ways and to curse our fate.

Every change that comes in our lives – or we make it happen – takes time to prove its worth. When we get the fruit of our patience it tastes amazing, and it also boots our confidence. However, we have to stay focused and stay passionate and avoid the negative people who continuously discourage and hold us back. These people envy us because we have the potential to achieve our goals.

One of the most important things when facing tough times is to learn from the lessons that difficult situations may be trying to teach you. Think of them as presenting you with the opportunity to practice patience and perseverance, and remind yourself of what is going well outside of the situation. But don’t be a procrastinator when an opportunity arrives at your doorstep, as this kind of behaviour is extremely harmful. Do it sooner than later.

We may feel overwhelmed as deadlines approach and stress starts to build. We may ‘smell’ defeat if we fail to make the progress. But we have to remind ourselves why it’s important to stay focused. Sometimes simply taking a small step can increase our commitment to the goal, and it becomes a reason of our success.

Live your life to the fullest and let others live theirs. Everyone is responsible for the aftermath of their decisions but if they ask for your help, give them the best advice because if they succeed they’ll be grateful to you. So be an encourager, as it’s a special formula to spend your life with serenity.

Don’t be afraid of constraints. If you embrace constraints – if you embrace challenges – you will become a better person and will learn a lot from your experiences. Your tough times and your sufferings will reveal your true friends. They will also reveal the hero inside you.
