LAHORE: Former Pakistan T20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez, in collaboration with Academy of Cricketing Excellence (ACE) and Team Pakistan assistant manager Shahid Aslam, has launched an ‘Under-15 Skills 2 Shine Programme’ with the intent to find promising talented players in the nascent age-group for a one-year scholarship to hone their skills. Hafeez has devoted his own resources to support, sponsor and nurture the programme. After the trials, a select group of Under-15 players will attend a one-month training camp at ACE DHA-EME Sports Club during the summer vacations. At the conclusion of this camp top players will be given a one-year scholarship which will include equipment, training facilities and also match experience. Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali has also appreciated the efforts which will not help players at young age to learn modern days cricketing skills but also by attending this camp players have better chance to be selected in PCB Umder-16 talent hunt in 2017. Interested Under-15 players are informed to get registered by filling a simple form on line at www.ace-cricket.com, or contact concerned at ACE DHA-EME Sports Club ground. Selection will be done during the month of May and the training camp will start in July after Ramadan.
