LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has reiterated that the process of accountability should begin with the prime minister and his family. Addressing a public meeting at Lower Dir on Tuesday, he said that the prime minister should justify the wealth of his sons abroad. Sirajul Haq said certain elements were proposing that the entire corruption so far should be ignored. However, he said this won’t do justice with the country and those plundering even small amounts of public money would have to face the wrath. The JI chief said he was surprised to know the assets of the politicians submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan and pointed out that the ruling people owned palaces valuing around Rs 600 million each in different cities and towns.
