KARACHI: Following the dry core drilling at 55 locations, the archaeological scientists have discovered 700 more remains of Mohenjodaro including the human and animal skulls along with other articles. The geological experts’ dry core drilling is in progress about 20 metres beneath of Mohenjodaro to verify the boundaries and its archaeological properties discovery since eight months after inauguration by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on April 4th, 2014 on the eve of Z A Bhutto anniversary. Mohenjodaro Archaeology Director Qasim Ali Qasim said that there are about 700 remains discovered which are under the examination and observation of the experts, as it requires DNA tests for further information. Qasim said that these 700 articles have been sent to Mehran Arts Council Hyderabad for further development and education. He further said that Mohenjodaro dry core drilling target is to be completed till June 30th this year but the archaeological experts have demanded more time for the preservation of remains gradually due to the heat and load shedding issues. It is pertinent to mention here that the geological and archaeological experts at Mohenjodaro are busy in dry core drilling at various locations and the area of archaeological site now increased up to 1,100 acres surrounding. He suggested the authorities concerned to evacuate the sites and stop harvesting on the land of Mohenjodaro.
