Obesity worldwide health issue

Published on: May 23, 2016 10:00 PM

In the current advanced scientific age increasing rate of overweight children, men and adults is a worldwide health issue. Obesity is a major problem which is increasing rapidly among people across the world. According to doctors obesity is more common in women than men. Obesity gives birth to various diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, and high blood pressure.

In the developing world urbanization is playing a role in increasing rate of obesity. People are not taking sufficient exercise due to growing use of mechanized transportation and a greater prevalence of labor-saving technology at homes.

In addition to that consumption of junk food like burgers, pizzas, noodles and sweetened drinks such as soft drinks, fruit drinks, iced tea, and energy and vitamin water drinks are contributing to the rising rates of obesity in the world. Moreover excessive use of medications may cause weight gain or changes in body composition; these include insulin, steroids, and some forms of hormonal contraception. In the modern world obesity is increasing among children and adults due to watching television for a long time.

Socially people due to obesity cannot enjoy their live like slime and smart people. They live an idle life, fall a prey to depression and lose confidence. Usually they seek help from their dear ones to move here and there and become dependent throughout their life. They avoid going parties. Mostly obese people cannot marry due to obesity and thus remain deprived of marital life.

This disease can be controlled by banning junk foods and fizzy drinks and having proper diet like milk, juice and fruits. Medications may be taken, along with a suitable diet, to reduce appetite or decrease fat absorption. In short proper diet, exercise, and medication can save people from this worldwide health issue.
