KARACHI: An unknown man killed in police encounter in Sohrab Goth area of cityon Tuesday. An unidentified man was shot dead in shootout with a police party in Sohrab Goth. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Similarly, unknown armed men shot dead an unknown man in Lyari area of city on Tuesday. An unknown man was gunned down by unknown gunmen in Lyari. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, a woman injured after a stray bullet hit and injured her in Sohrab Goth area of metropolis on Tuesday. A woman, Gulam Rasoola, resident of Sorab Goth, was hit and injured by a stray bullet in Sohrab Goth. The injured victim was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment. Similarly, a man shot and injured in a quarrel in Landhi area of city on Tuesday. A man, Raheem Gul, resident of Mansehra Colony Landhi, was shot and injured by a man in a quarrel in Landhi. The injured man was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. On a similar note, a man and a teenage boy injured in a road traffic accident in North Karachi area of metropolis on Tuesday. A speedy car hit and injured a man, Muhammad Hamza, and a teenage boy Naeem. Both the injured victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, an unknown man injured in a road traffic accident in Kala Pul area of city on Tuesday. An unknown man was hit and injured by a speedy car in Kala Pul. The injured man was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. On a separate note, two men shot and injured in resistance during robbery in North Karachi area of city on Tuesday. Two men, Muhammad Salam, and Muhammad kaleem, were shot and injured by robbers due to their resistance during a robbery in North Karachi. Both the injured men were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, Robbers entered a house located in Gulshan Iqbal area of the city on Tuesday and looted cash, gold and other valuables. According to police, more than four armed robbers stormed a house in Block 7 and took the inmates hostage at gunpoint and looted more than Rs 2 million cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house and fled the scene. A case has been registered at Gulshan Iqbal Police Station. The number of street crimes and robbery has increased in Gulshan Iqbal alarmingly, said police. More than 300 mugging incidents have been reported so far in the holy month of Ramazan.
