ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Secretariat has dumped the findings of eight corruption inquiries pertaining to mega corruption scams of Capital Development Authority (CDA) involving multi billion rupees and allegedly put them in cold storage for the last more than two years, a secret official document revealed. The secret government documents available with Daily Times showed that criminal investigation into multi billion rupees corruption scams was initiated on the behest of Nawaz Sharif following assuming the charge of Chief Executive of the country. The senior officers of different cadres held responsible in these corruption cases but now have escaped from the punishment or criminal proceeding due to lethargic attitude of PM Nawaz Sharif who has been recuperated from his heart disease from a British Hospital. A senior officer privy to this development apprised the Daily Times that inquiry reports into 8 mega corruption scams has been waiting the nod of competent authority for further action for the last two years. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif showed keen interest to conclude the multi billion corruption inquiries and to reach out the real criminals in order to set the course of the CDA on right path but with the passage of time all his ambitions to punish the corrupt element ended in smoke, a well placed source told. During first briefing of the CDA affairs, PM Nawaz Sharif ordered to initiate probe into corruption scams of Hayat Regency, Dubai Plaza, Hill View Pak Tower, Allotment of Cinema plot no 29 ,G, 9 Markaz, Centaurus plot, Margalla Tower, Allotment of Saidpur Village and allotment of 43 Schools plots to favourites. Three member committee headed by Rizwan Bashir Khan Joint Chief Economist and comprising Munir Anjum Chief Planning Commission and Ahmed Bashir advocate High Court and the CDA Deputy Director Shafi Marwat has finalized the report two years ago and submitted to PM secretariat for criminal proceeding against the responsible officers. The inquiry committee had submitted its finding on 4th March 2014 but the competent authority put these finding in the cold storage giving safe passage to criminals to move free in the society. Daily Times has contacted PM spokesman Dr, Musadaq Malik by sending SMS for the version of the Government on the report but the concerned people did not bother to comment in order to clear the ambiguity surrounding the scams. The committee comprising the honest officer probed the Hayat Regency plot scandal on the direction of PM. According to details of the scam former Chairmen CDA bestowed unprecedented favours to the owner of this hotel situated along Islamabad Murree Road causing more than billon rupees losses to national exchequer. Public Account Committee headed by Khurshid Shah also sent this scam on the finding of Auditor General of Pakistan to the NAB for inquiry but the accountability sleuth of the country has yet to finalized their investigation. Three members committee also finalised its finding into scam of allotment of cinema plot in G-9 Markaz Islamabad. This plot was allotted to former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Kundi belongs to PPP and allegedly causing billion of rupees losses to national kitty by misusing his official authority. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had received the final report of this scam but not passing any punitive order against the officer involved in this scam for the last two years. The three member official committee also finalized its finding into the scandals of allotment of school plot to favourites of the ruling families and allotment of plots in Saidpur Village. In these corruption scandals the people belong to elite and ruling class are involved the chief executive of the country is showing lethargy to take punitive action against them and to recovered plundered wealth from jaws of the corrupt people. According to report more than 43 school plot were allotted to powerful people on throw away prices after taking oath from them that they would provide education to the poor on affordable fees but the fact is that these school owner are charging inflated fees from the parents. The committee also find irregularities in the allotment of Centaurs plot, Hill Views Hotel Pak Tower and Dubai Plaza and also find flaws in the dispensation of national treasure to the cronies of the ruling class. The incumbent prime Minister had shown no any interest to move the government anti corruption organs to retrieved the plundered wealth from these corrupt elements hiding in the garb of public servant or politicians.
