RAWALPINDI: Approval has been accorded to computerise all the departments of the Benazir Bhutto General Hospital, Rawalpindi, at a cost of Rs 130 million. The approval was given at a meeting held in Lahore under the additional secretary health for development. It was decided to computerise every department including the administrative department of this hospital. The project will be started at a cost of Rs 100 million and will be completed at a cost of Rs 130 million. The computerisation of the hospital will ensure improvement in treatment facilities, preservation of the record and transparency in the administrative matters. Most water sources unsafe in capital: Around 53 per cent of water samples taken from filtration plants and other sources of the federal capital contain a high percentage of bacteria. A report submitted to the Mayor’s Office here by the Water Quality Control Cell (WQCC) of the civic agency showed that not only filtration plants, but water samples taken from a number of tube wells and overhead tanks were also found contaminated and unsafe for human consumption.
