President UMT & ILM Trust Ibrahim Hasan Murad met with Dr Ibrahim KALIN, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to President of Turkey and Mr. Ali SAHIN, Member of Parliament and Chairman Pakistan-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship group on the occasion of Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan Pakistan visit. While exchange of words Ibrahim Murad said that the iconic friendship of Pak-Turkey has very old history even before the establishment of the two states. The Islamic traditions are an inherent binding force between two countries that have strategic depth fixed in history. Both countries enjoy cultural and historical affiliation and have traditionally closest relations. He also added that recent bilateral discussion between the heads of countries would play a vital role in bilateral ties and progress of both countries. While giving a brief overview of the UMT to Dr. Ibrahim Kalin, Ibrahim Murad told about the Pakistan-Turkey initiatives at UMT its Goal to solve real world issues through research and transformation of learners into leaders. He impressed on the need for Pakistan and Turkey to take initiatives to promote Higher Education to improve literacy rate. Ibrahim Murad appreciated Turkish government for providing scholarships to Pakistani students in this regard and expressed his best wishes the Educational pursuits of Turkish Organizations in Pakistan. The bond between Pakistan and Turkey always withstand the test of time and gets stronger as time goes by; he added. Dr Ibrahim KALIN, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to President of Turkey said President Erdogan has a special place in his heart for Pakistanis. Mr. Ali SAHIN, Member of Parliament and Chairman Pakistan-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship shared his thoughts and said that closer ties and people to people contact between the two countries is need of time to foster bilateral relations. He also shared that in future we would take initiatives to further strengthen Pak – Turk friendship by collaboration in all fields.
