Sir: With the onset of the new generation, numerous changes have been made in our ever-changing society. One such issue experienced by our youngsters today is drug abuse. Teenagers and young adults abuse drugs as they are either unaware of the profoundly dangerous effects of drugs or they simply choose to ignore it for the “fun”. This lack of knowledge is inevitably bound to lead to drug addiction. Furthermore, more and more teenagers have started substance abuse; with reported cases of children as young as fifteen-years-old being expelled from schools. One way to stop this rising problem is to give adequate drug use information to children as they grow up, by both parents and teachers. KAINAT FATIMA Lahore
