HANGU: District Police Officer Shah Nazar on Tuesday said comprehensive security measures have been devised for Muharram days and termed the public cooperation compulsory for maintaining law and order situation during the procession schedules in the district. Speaking at a meeting of the religious clerics of all sects at his office, the DPO claimed that section 144 had been imposed with the ban on the use of loud speaker in the mosques. Shah Nazar said that the aim of the measures was to keep the security of the city tight during the Muharam days and avoid any misconduct. The meeting was attended by the religious heads of the Shia, Sunni sect, local elders and members of the Aman Committee. He asked the religious leaders’ cooperation in order to avoid tension during the sacred days.
